From an early age I have been fascinated by the stars and universe and Astronomy / Astrophysics was my ‘dream’. Back in the eighties, my GCSE years, an innate passion for all-things-maths encouraged me to do my GCSE Maths exam a year ahead of schedule, which was not common then (in year 10) and…. ever since I have been tutoring!.

Over the past thirty-odd years I am proud to have helped numerous individuals of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in Maths, Physics (and Science) as well as the spectrum of entrance and scholarship exams to Grammar and Private schools.

After completing my A levels in the West Midlands at King Edwards School (KES) and then at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School I went on to study Physics at Imperial College, London where I secured a first class B.Sc.

By this stage I became keenly drawn towards the dynamic world of Investment Banking. I faced a difficult decision of choosing between an academic career (a PhD at Imperial College) or pursuing a working career in Finance and Mathematical Modelling. I chose the latter and spent the following 13 years working for a number of big names, specialising in Financial Derivatives & Structured Products Middle Office.

The onset of the Credit Crunch was a turning point for many, and I set myself to full-time tutoring and Computer / Mac technician. I am also a CIMA Certified Business Accountant.

I offer 1-to-1 and small group tuition both online and in my locality.

I am a member of The Tutors Association and have an Enhanced DBS.
