From a very early age I have been fascinated with the stars in the sky and Astronomy has always been a passion. Back in the eighties, my GCSE years, an innate attraction to all-things-maths led to my school encouraging me to do my GCSE Maths exam a year ahead of schedule (which was not common at the time) and ever since I have been tutoring!

Over the past thirty five years I am proud to have helped numerous individuals of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in Maths, Physics (and Science) as well as the spectrum of entrance/scholarship exams to Grammar and Private schools.

After completing my A levels in the West Midlands at King Edwards School (KES) and then at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School I went on to study Physics at Imperial College, London where I secured a first-class B.Sc.

By this stage I had become keenly drawn towards the dynamic world of Investment Banking. I faced a difficult decision of choosing between an academic career (a PhD at Imperial College) or pursuing a working career in the world of Finance. I chose the latter and spent the following 13 years working for a number of big names, specialising in Financial Derivatives & Structured Products Middle Office.

The onset of the Credit Crunch was a turning point for many, and I set myself to full-time tutoring and also became a Computer / Mac expert-technician. I am also a CIMA Certified Business Accountant.

I offer 1-to-1 and small group tuition both online and in my locality.

I am a member of The Tutors Association and have an Enhanced DBS.
